Hesco Consulting Services Ltd was founded in Nairobi in 2014 by a team of professionals who had spent years inside Kenya's corporate and public sector — and kept seeing the same problems repeat: businesses paying avoidable penalties, losing tenders over documentation gaps, facing tribunal claims with no HR paper trail, and making investment decisions without clean financial records.

The firms addressing these problems were either too expensive for SMEs or too generic to provide meaningful local expertise. We founded Hesco to fill that gap — a firm with the technical rigour of a large consultancy, the agility and accessibility of a specialist boutique, and deep roots in how Kenya's regulatory and business environment actually works.

Over a decade later, we've served 200+ businesses, NGOs and corporates across Kenya — from sole traders getting their first compliance house in order to listed companies preparing ESG reports for international investors. Our model hasn't changed: Kenya-first expertise, practical implementation, and a long-term relationship with every client we serve.

OUR JOURNEY

A Decade of Growth

2014

Founded in Nairobi

Hesco Consulting Services Ltd is incorporated in Nairobi with a founding team of 4 consultants. Initial focus on compliance consulting and statutory audit for SMEs in Nairobi's industrial and commercial sector.

2016

HR Practice Launched

Growing client demand for employment law support led to the launch of our dedicated HR Consulting practice. First tribunal defence engagement wins — establishing a record that remains undefeated to this day.

2018

First 50 Clients & NGO Expansion

Hesco crosses 50 active clients and begins serving international NGOs and donor-funded organisations with project audits, sub-grantee monitoring and donor compliance frameworks aligned to USAID and EU standards.

2020

Remote Consulting Model & Digital Systems

COVID-19 accelerated our shift to a hybrid delivery model. We built digital client portals, remote audit capabilities and virtual HR advisory systems — emerging from the pandemic with stronger infrastructure and a wider client base.

2022

ESG Practice Established

With growing investor demand for ESG reporting and the NSE launching Sustainability Disclosure Guidelines, Hesco establishes a dedicated ESG & Sustainability practice — Kenya's first boutique ESG consultancy focused exclusively on the local market.

2024+

East Africa Expansion

Having consolidated our position as Kenya's leading governance consultancy, Hesco begins expanding into Uganda and Tanzania, bringing our compliance-first model to the broader East African market.
